When the 2020 pandemic hit and thousands were losing their jobs due to covid-19,  Kristy launched an accessible, inclusive subscription based networking community platform called the co-lab to connect industry professionals all over the world. The co-lab meets weekly in a virtual cafe, hosts monthly panel talks with industry experts, launches new episodes of the co-lab career stories podcast each week to give visibility to members and educate listeners on our thriving industry, and provides opportunities for finding jobs, networking and mentoring in our private slack. Just weeks after the co-lab started, we added a success story channel in slack to celebrate all the new jobs, connections, and businesses being formed in the co-lab.
